BERLIN TO BUDAPEST

Introduction

This tour encompasses the big 4 of eastern Europe - Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Having two or three nights in each city will mean you have a chance to really discover the cities in depth. You'll also pop in to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, for lunch!

Day 1: Arrive Berlin

Check-in to your hotel after 2pm and the afternoon is yours to explore. This evening at 6pm, meet your Tour Manager and fellow travellers for dinner. (D)

Day 2-3: Berlin

Two days to explore the German capital. Our sightseeing tour will take you through both East and West Berlin. See the remains of the Berlin Wall, historic Brandenburg Gate and the controversial Reichstag building. Visit one of the city's many museums and sample the local delicacies. Berlin is also well known for its nightlife, why not join us for dinner and a guided tour of some of Berlin's best night spots? (B) (B)

Day 4: Berlin to Prague

Heading south through Germany we stop for lunch in Dresden. We cross the border and arrive in the Czech Republic for 3 nights in Prague, the golden city built on Seven Hills across the River Vltava. (B,D)

Day 5-6: Prague

Two whole days to enjoy this Bohemian delight! Join us on our included sightseeing tour of Hradcany Castle, the Cathedral of St Vitus, Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square. A chance for a different view of the city from the river on a lunch time cruise, and plenty of time in the Old Town to enjoy the local nightlife. (B) (B)

Day 7: Prague to Vienna

This morning we visit the UNESCO listed town of Kutná Hora for a chance to see its impressive medieval sights. We then travel south to Vienna, the majestic capital of Austria. This evening join us for a sightseeing tour of the Burg Ring and check out some of the local bars. (B,D)

Day 8: Vienna

A full day of sightseeing and shopping in this amazing city. Time to visit the Palace of the Hapsburgs, St. Stephen's Cathedral and snack on a piece of apple strudel. Tonight a chance to complete your Austrian experience with a special dinner followed by a Mozart and Strauss concert in the fabulous Schönbrunn Palace. (B)

Day 9: Vienna to Budapest

A short drive takes us to the Slovakian capital, Bratislava, for some free time. We then travel to the Hungarian capital, Budapest - our stop for two nights. Tonight a chance to explore the fashionable bars of the city. (B,D)

Day 10: Budapest

Our morning sightseeing tour includes the Royal Palace, Chain Bridge and Fisherman's Bastion. This afternoon free time to visit some of the fabulous museums and then why not join us for a farewell river cruise with buffet dinner? (B)

Day 11: Depart Budapest

Time to swap addresses and say farewell to your new-found friends as your tour ends after breakfast. (B)
